DIY Double Rocking Chair Plan
Room for two. One smooth way to unwind.
The DIY double rocking chair plan is designed for shared comfort, offering a roomy, yet cozy place to relax outdoors. With gently curved rockers and contoured seating, it delivers a classic look and a comfortable motion that’s perfect for slow evenings on the porch or patio.
The finished piece has a refined, traditional feel, that will wow all your guests, but learning how to build a rocking chair like this is more approachable than it appears. Thoughtful use of repeating parts and straightforward joinery help simplify the build, resulting in a wooden outdoor rocking chair made for two.
Before you get started, please read our info on safety, fasteners and building tips, and please consult our Terms of Use.
